These trousers are inspired by an embroidered quilt from the 1890s-1920s. We reproduced the embroidery pattern in couching—a needlework technique in which a cord is laid in patterns and secured with short, perpendicular stitches. The trousers also feature a band of tonal rickrack along the hem.
